Kimberly Stevens
Executive Vice President Geology

  • Ms. Stevens is a highly experienced petroleum geologist specializing in play evaluation, reservoir characterization, sedimentology/stratigraphy, geochemistry, and development planning
  • Prior to HOG, Ms. Stevens served as VP of Geology at HighMark Energy, a private E&P company with backing from Natural Gas Partners
  • During her time at HighMark, Ms. Stevens (i) evaluated over $2 billion in asset acquisitions, (ii) initiated and coordinated a proprietary basin modeling project that led the technical team to the STACK play, (iii) recommended buy areas within various areas of the play, and (iv) planned, executed, and managed the drilling of 3 Meramec wells with average peak IPs of 1,600 boepd
  • Ms. Stevens has also held leadership roles within the Geology departments of ExxonMobil, Pioneer, Encana, NEXEN and Hunt Oil
  • Her areas of domestic expertise include the Permian Basin, Anadarko Basin, Gulf of Mexico, South Texas/Eagle Ford Shale, East Texas/Haynesville/Cotton Valley, San Joaquin and San Juan Basins
  • Ms. Stevens holds a M.S. in Geology from the Colorado School of Mines, and a B.A. in Geology from Southern Methodist University
