Robert Thurman
Vice President – Drilling
- Robert Thurman has 12 years of drilling experience in 4 major basins across the US. He started his career with QEP in 2009 as a Drilling Engineer overseeing operations in the Texas Panhandle Granite wash as well as the Woodford Shale of the Stack Play in Central Oklahoma.
- Mr. Thurman worked as a contract Drilling Engineer through Crescent Consulting from 2013 to 2017 for multiple companies and was involved in the start-up of American Energy Partners – Utica in the Utica Shale of South Eastern Ohio.
- In 2017, he filled the role of a Senior Drilling Engineer for Felix Energy II with operations in the Delaware Basin of Texas. Being part of a team that operated up to 7 rigs focused on infill development, he captured learnings and efficiencies of transitioning from single well pads to multi-well pads while reducing costs and days on well until the sale of Felix II in April of 2020.
- Most recently, he worked as a Contract Engineer for Percussion Petroleum II and was involved in the start up operations and planning for their drilling program in the Delaware Basin.
- Mr. Thurman holds a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Oklahoma.
